Kids Program

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a powerful tool for cultivating inner strength, confidence, and patience. At Point Break, we’ve seen children flourish through consistent training — not just in skill, but in how they carry themselves in the world.

Our approach is intentional. We recognise that every child learns differently. Some are bold, some are cautious, some are neurodiverse, some need time to warm up. Our coaches are trauma-informed and attentive to different nervous systems, creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and steadily challenged.

Each class begins in circle. Professor Reon sits with the kids, inviting them to share a little about themselves and practise using their voice in front of the group. The children learn to listen, to witness one another, and to be part of a respectful community. Confidence isn’t forced — it’s built through belonging.

Through ecological training and learning through play, we encourage problem-solving, adaptability, and creativity on the mats. Children are not just memorising moves — they are learning how to think, respond under pressure, and regulate themselves in challenge.

Point Break offers two programs for the younger generation, supporting different stages of growth while maintaining the same culture of humility, discipline, and fun.

Bring your child along for a free trial and experience the difference for yourself.

Little Kids

From 3 to 7 years

At this age, children are innately somatic. They learn through movement, sensation, play, and exploration. Our Little Kids program honours and strengthens this natural intelligence.

We focus on learning through games and guided play, helping children build new neural pathways in their bodies while developing coordination, balance, listening skills, and self-awareness. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu becomes a vehicle for healthy physical development and nervous system regulation.

This stage of childhood comes with big energy. Rather than suppressing it, we channel it. Through structured play and safe grappling, children learn how to move with control, express themselves physically, and begin building focus and patience.

The goal is not perfection — it’s confidence, connection, and a strong embodied foundation that prepares them for the years ahead.

Big Kids

From 8 to 13 years

This stage is about skill, responsibility, and self-leadership.

As children grow, so does their capacity for discipline, teamwork, and accountability. In our Big Kids program, we deepen technique and strategy while maintaining the same culture of safety and respect that defines Point Break.

Students are invited to contribute, ask questions, and support one another — learning not only how to improve their game, but how to be responsible with their growing sense of power and strength. Confidence here is earned through effort, consistency, and community.

Through ecological training and live practice, students learn to problem-solve and adapt under pressure rather than rely on memorisation alone. Different learning styles are welcomed, and resilience grows naturally through challenge.

We’re not just developing stronger athletes — we’re helping shape grounded, capable young people.
